After experiencing New England's Blizzard of '78 while serving as nursing director at the Fall River/New Bedford Center for Alcohol Problems (now known as SSTAR), I opted for a warm weather travel nurse assignment to New Orleans. Thus began 20 wild & rocking years of Big Easy fun. In mid-October of 1998, a sudden and decisive move was made to Austin, Texas. Everyone visiting Austin should make it a point to catch the wonderful live music scene of central Texas. During my tenure touring as drummer with legendary folk singer Glenn Yarbrough, I continued performing and recording with various Texas and New Orleans bands. I am featured percussionist on the Limeliters latest CD. Following a fun filled thirty-year journey, I've completed the circle, returning home to the south coast of New England, surrounded by family and old friends. I am a registered nurse at a nonprofit community health service agency, serving as clinical instructor in a Certified Nursing Assistant program. I am also enrolled in the RN-BSN program at the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth. Meanwhile, frequent musical visits back to the Big Easy help keep the musical gumbo percolating. Laissez le Bon Ton Roulez! See ya there Mardi Gras...Steve
